Simply bring your old or worn Canadian flag to either of our Hamilton or Burlington funeral homes and we will replace it FREE. Flags are 18" x 36" and are perfect for your home, cottage or boat.

June 2 - Festitalia Italian Heritage Awards @ Michelangelo's Banquet Centre

Once again, we were pleased to support the Italian community of Hamilton and area as Award Sponsor at the annual Festitalia Italian Heritage Awards. The mission of Festitalia Corporation is to develop and promote, in the City of Hamilton, a festival of significant impact that shares and promotes Italian culture and heritage with the community-at-large. Congratulations to all award nominees and recipients. 

June 3 - Golden Years Expo @ Hamilton Air Force Association

We were on hand at the recent Golden Years Expo in Dundas, Ontario. Golden Years is an annual health and wellness fair for people aged 50 and better, and is held in various locations around the GTA. The expo provides a wide range of exhibitors and vendors offering a variety of services, resources and products from the community. Attendees can expect activities, entertainment and education throughout the day. Admission is FREE. June 8 - Zonta Hamilton Golf Tournament

Zonta-eventOur own staff members Lisa Palmer and Sheila Creighton (pictured on the right in the photo) enjoyed a Caribbean-themed day at the 2016 Zonta Classic. The tournament took place at Twenty Valley Golf and Country Club in beautiful wine country - Vineland, Ontario. Zonta Clubs in Southern Ontario have been hosting women's only golf tournaments to raise money for breast cancer for more than 20 years now. In 1998, they challenged other Zonta Clubs to follow suit. To date, over $2,000,000 has been raised.

June 11 - Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament

The annual charity golf tournament in honour of Br. Francis Fleming was held at Southern Pines Golf Course on a lovely sunny day. Bay Gardens and Bayview Cemetery were pleased to support the fundraiser with a gift basket featuring Ontario's VQA Mike Weir wines.

June 11 - Salsa4Heart

Bay Gardens staff member Estuardo Lopez and his lovely bride Pam danced the night away on a warm evening by the Bay. They were not competing on Dancing With the Stars though! They were on hand to support the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Estuardo brings many years of experience to Bay Gardens as a licensed funeral director and is fluent in Spanish.

June 19 - St. Anthony of Padua Feast

St. Anthony of Padua Church in Hamilton celebrated this special event with a commemorative book, in which we were proud to be featured. This book contains a photographic retrospective of many years of celebration and promotions within the community.

June 20 - Hamilton Police Retirees Golf

Hamilton Police Retirees EventIn support of the Hamilton Police Retirees Association, we were happy to take part in their annual golf tournament. Our fearsome foursome participated on a steamy but breezy day at Chippewa Creek Golf Club to assist with their fundraising for Camp Faces, a charity for children and families of fallen first responders. Friends In Grief News

Summer sessions have begun at our Hamilton location. It's not too late to register for this 8-week session which takes place from 7-9 pm every Thursday from July 7-August 25. Monthly Social Outings

Monthly lunch outings are available to group members and facilitators. There is no charge to attend; your only cost is your lunch choice from the menu. Outings take place the 2nd Friday of each month @ noon.

August 12 - Pier 4 William's Cafe

September 9 - Sackville Senior's Centre, 780 Upper Wentworth Street, Hamilton, Ontario, L9A 4V5 (no need to be a senior)
